Bodywork That Resolves Pain Instead of Managing It

Most people who find me have already tried the standard route. They've seen a doctor, maybe a physical therapist, maybe a chiropractor. Things helped, or didn't, and they're still dealing with the same problem. That's usually when they land here.

I work with people who are in pain, moving wrong, or simply not performing the way they used to. My job is to figure out why and do something about it. Not manage it, not mask it. Resolve it.

Why does pain keep coming back after good treatment?

Because the driver of the problem is often not where the pain is. Fascia, the connective tissue web that wraps and links muscle, bone, and nerve, can hold a tension pattern on its own. When the restriction lives in that layer, treatment aimed at the muscle or the joint brings real but temporary relief, and the old pattern reasserts itself. The site of the pain was real. It just wasn't the whole story.

“Fascia is the organ of posture. Nobody ever says this; all the talk is about muscles.”
Dr. Ida P. Rolf, founder of Structural Integration

How I work

My training spans two disciplines that most practitioners keep separate: how the body moves and how the tissue underneath that movement behaves. When both are off, treating only one rarely gets the job done.

I assess before I work, and the assessment drives everything that follows. Every session is customized. There is no standard sequence, no default protocol. What happens in the room is built around what your body is actually doing that day.

Training and modalities

Movement assessment and rehabilitation: SFMA (Selective Functional Movement Assessment), MovNat natural movement restoration, Original Strength foundational repatterning, and private Pilates customized to rehabilitation, fitness, or strength goals.

Manual therapy and soft tissue work: Fascial Distortion Model (FDM), Instrument-Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (cup, tape, scrape), Dermo-Neuro Modulation, craniosacral therapy, trigger point therapy, myofascial decompression, facilitated stretch, and positional release.

Who I work with

People dealing with chronic pain that hasn't responded to other treatment. Athletes managing overuse and recovering between seasons. Clients rebuilding after injury or surgery. Anyone in North Phoenix, Scottsdale, or Paradise Valley who wants to move better and stay ahead of the things that slow most people down as they get older.

If you've been told your pain is something you'll have to live with, it's worth a second opinion.

Common questions

Why does my pain keep coming back after massage or adjustments?

Often the restriction lives in the fascial layer, which can hold a tension pattern independent of the muscle around it. Until that layer is addressed, relief tends to be temporary.

What happens in a session?

Assessment first, every time. Then the manual work is matched to what the assessment finds rather than a fixed routine.

Do I need a referral?

No. Many clients come on their own; others are sent by their chiropractor or physical therapist. Either way, sessions start with the same assessment.
